Visakhapatnam ashram was established in 1936.
Ashram was located at Lawson's Bay Colony in a open spacious area at sea shore.
In the begining 2 acres of land was donated by Mr. Purushottam Pantulu who was drawn towards Swami Omkar's silent life and ideal work of Sister Sushila Devi.

The inmates of ashram are nearly 150 out of which 100 are Deaf and Dumb students 20 Normal students 20 workers and 10 elderly people.

The main motto of ashram in the begining to provide medical assistance to fisherman people but further it enhanced its activities like schools, cottages yoga training and prayer(meditation) hall.Click here for Photos at Shanthi Ashram

Daily activities

The day starts with morning "Prathana" at 6.00am to 6.30am after that a Yoga class will be conducted by our resident qulifies Yoga Master Mr.Tataji from 6.30am to 7.30am.

At 6.30am Milk will be served

At 8.00am breakfast will be served after that all students will go to their educational institutions.

At 12.15pm lunch will be served

At 4.00pm snacks will be served

From 5.00pm to 6.00pm again there will be Yoga class for ladies after that at 6.00pm, evening "Pradhana" will be there.

At 6.30pm dinner will be served after dinner there will be study hour for students.

• Omkar Prayer hall ( With a capacity of 80 members ) which will be provided free for Satsang or any other spiritual and voluntary activites.

• Vishwa Shanti Skhetram at Kailasagiri Hills ( Mass Meditation on Every Full moon day (Pournima))
• Library of Swami Okmar books and other Spiritural books
• Annapuran dining hall ( capacity of 120 students ) with Steam Cooking system

Contribution

Donors can donate for food like Milk, Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner Or for the wholeday

Kind donations are also accepted like Old or New clothers, daily needs of hostel inmates like soaps, shampoo, books and pens etc.,

Any one can adopt any students education or donate for educational fund

Donors can donate for one or two teachers salary for one year as we need teachers immediately.

Any one can donate to construct clinic, library and office building.

There is an Income Tax exemption for all cash donations u/s 80G
